JESUS SAVES TO THE ‘UTTERMOST’

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Heb. 7: 25, KJV

Q What is meant here by ‘uttermost’?

A The Greek word translated ‘uttermost’ in this text is pantêlēs, the import of which is, variously, to a completion, or terminus; full-ended; thoroughly; by all necessary means.

This is a promise of enormous significance to the consecrated Christian, and a hedge in the darkest hours of the soul against discouragement and depression over one’s private sins.

The Saviour’s love for His people, His little ones, is not tenous, but deep, robust, towering to the skies. He ever lives to intercede for you who are justified and sanctified by faith, and will freely forgive the earnest supplicant

Let this assurance comfort your heart, when doubt assails you.
